Inclement Weather and TBE School Closing NOtices

In case of inclement weather, we notify the community of TBE school closings in these ways:
  • School closings are listed on Boston television stations Channel 5 (ABC station WCVB) or Channel 7 (NBC station WHDH).
  • Cancellations are also listed on our temple main phone number, (781) 235-8419.  Select the option for daily recorded cancellation notices.

Sunday morning school closings are announced on Sunday mornings by 7:30 a.m.; midweek school closings are announced by noon.

WEEKDAYS: We automatically cancel school (Gan Elohim Nursery School, Limud, BM3T and Havayah) if Wellesley schools are closed.

GAN ELOHIM
If Wellesley Schools delay one hour on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday TBE Gan Elohim will delay one hour, but will be closed if it falls on a Wednesday or Friday.
If there is a two hour delay, TBE Gan Elohim is closed.

LIMUD, BM3T or HAVAYAH programs in the afternoon or early evening may close, even if Wellesley schools remain open, if we warrant the weather is worsening throughout the day.  Please watch the television postings so the phone lines are kept open for essential calls.  You will receive a notice on weekdays if you are on our temple’s e-mail broadcast list and from our school grade e-mail lists if your e-mail address is current.  Please use your own judgment whether to drive if we do not cancel school.

ADULT LEARNING classes are determined on a case by case basis, given the time of day the program is scheduled to run.  We usually personally notify Adult Learning students by email or phone call in addition to listing the closing on our temple phone number cancellation line.
